      System Requirements

      Client/Workstation

      Operating Systems Requirements:

      • Versions: Windows 10 and Windows 11

      • Editions: Pro and Enterprise

      Note: Only OS's within Microsoft's support end date will be supported by Eagle Business Software. Check Microsoft's Product Lifecycle dates to plan your replacement schedule.

      Minimum Hardware Requirements:

      Be aware that the minimum operating system requirements are the minimum necessary to run the Koble Systems (EBMS) program. Your system may have sufficient resources to run EBMS, but not in an efficient manner. See your computer consultant or an Eagle Software support consultant for more details or recommendations.

      • An Intel i3 CPU or greater

      • 3 GB of RAM or higher

      • Minimum of 20 gigabyte of free disk space initially - space needs requirements may increase with use

      • Most recent printer driver (download updated drivers from manufacturer's website)

      • Monitor with a resolution of 1366x768 (Greater resolution is advantageous for lengthy documents and lists)

      Recommended Hardware Requirements

      • An Intel i5 CPU or greater

      • 8 GB of RAM or higher

      • Minimum of 20 gigabyte of free disk space initially - space needs requirements may increase with use

      • Most recent printer driver (download upload drivers from manufacturer's website)

      • Monitor with resolution of 1600x1040 (Greater resolution is advantageous for lengthy documents and lists)

      EBMS Data Server

      The EBMS Data Server may be installed on a server hosted in a virtual environment.

      Operating Systems

      • Windows Server with Desktop Experience

      Recommended Hardware Requirements

      Each business needs to determine their individual server requirements based on the number of users, functions the server will be expected to perform, and more.

      • An Intel Xeon CPU or similar. Clock speeds of 3.0 ghz or more are strongly encouraged. EBMS only uses a second thread occasionally.

      • 16 GB of RAM or higher

      • Solid State hard drive for EBMS data

      • Minimum of 100 gigabyte of free disk space initially - space needs requirements may increase with use and EBMS upgrades may require up to 3x the initial space

      • Most recent printer driver (download upload drivers from manufacturer's website)

      • Monitor with resolution of 1366x768 (Greater resolution is advantageous for lengthy documents and lists)

      • Windows Server operating system

      Network

      A wired gigabit network is required to use EBMS on a network and ensures maximum performance. Ensure that all network cables are securely connected, not pinched, or traveling around corners with a radius tighter than 2". Network switches and individual server and workstation network adapters require gigabit speed to insure sufficient communication speed.  Using a WiFi network to connect the EBMS Client/Workstation to the EBMS data server is not supported. The only exceptions are the TimeTrack App and MyEBMS products.

      Printer Requirements

      A graphics printer is required since reports are printed in graphics mode for clarity and style. It is recommended that an inkjet or laser printer be used for reports rather than a dot matrix printer.

      Recommended Printers:

      • A laser printer is recommended for lengthy reports because of greater speed

      • An inkjet printer is recommended if color is required or if speed is not a critical issue

      • A Datamax label printer for printing inventory/bin labels

      • An Epson receipt printer for POS receipts

      * EBMS works with most laser and inkjet printers but satisfaction varies from printer to printer. HP and Xerox seem to deliver the best compatibility. Operating Systems, drivers, etc. vary from computer to computer affecting speed, margin configuration, and more. Supported printers and other peripherals are listed on the online store.

      Apps
