Testing or Previewing a Data Import
The Text Data Import and Export Utility includes the ability to import a limited number of records or to preview the imported data a record at a time. Go to File > Utilities > Text Import/Export Mappings and double-click on a list item to open an existing table or click New to start a new mapping.
The Preview tools are located in the bottom left corner of the Import/Export Mapping Properties dialog. Scroll the columns to the left to view the Preview column.
Click on the Refresh Preview button to refresh the information within the Preview column.
Click on the Previous Row or Next Row buttons to move the Displaying Row backward or forward.
Use the Test settings to import a partial file if the text import file is lengthy.
Set the Starting record or Ending record numbers to import a partial text file. These record entries are optional. A blank Ending record value will import all records. Click on the Test Import (Replace) button to launch the test process.
Review Importing Text Files into EBMS for more information on importing data.
