Viewing a Loyalty Card Point Balance and Award Value
A customer with a loyalty card may wish to view the accumulated point balance or monetary benefits related to reaching a predetermined number of points established by the place of business or retailer. Note that the accumulated point balance and the monetary award amount are accessed separately from each other, as explained below.
Viewing a Loyalty Card Point Balance
Point balances on a customer loyalty card are stored solely by the loyalty care provider and therefore a customer that wishes to know the number of accrued points will need to contact the provider directly. This can be accomplished by calling the phone number on the back of the card or accessing the provider's website and supplying the card number.
Viewing a Loyalty Card Award Value
Monetary awards are added to a loyalty card once predetermined point numbers are attained (as established by the retailer). When this is the case, the card functions with two roles. It continues to be a loyalty card in which points can be accrued, but it also becomes a type of gift card and can be used in a similar way. For information related to accessing and viewing the monetary award balance that is available on a loyalty card review the Viewing Gift Card Balances section and follow the steps provided.
