Integrations and Customizing EBMS

A powerful feature within EBMS is the ability to customize the solution without altering the core EBMS code. This is done using one of the following methods:

  • Customization Designer:

Using the Customization Designer, a manager or administrator can extend or customize EBMS by adding custom fields, or display a standard EBMS field in a new location.  A custom field is a property that has been added by the user or custom developer. Review Customization Designer for more details.

  • API Gateway:
The API Gateway allows developers to easily interact with EBMS data from other applications. Quickly read, write, and create EBMS data from applications using a standard API (Application Programming Interface). Valuable CRM, production, scheduling, marketing, reporting, and web tools can interact with back-end EBMS data. Review the API Gateway section for more details

  • Adding or modifying forms, reports, or lists within EBMS:
All reports, forms, and lists are created using the Crystal Reports Editor. Crystal Reports allows the user to modify or create custom reports using an industry standard report writer. Review Reports > Report and Form Customization for more details.

  • Adding tabs, entry fields, and tables:
Additional entry fields can be added to an account, invoice, or other table within EBMS to record user defined information to meet specific needs. The length of many fields can be changed including the number of decimal places within a numeric EBMS field. The flexibility of adding fields and tables, adding info to reports, and validating the info using Java Script processes can create maximum flexibility.

  • Adding implementation code, processes, formulas, and interface code:
The Java Script tool box allows the user to create documents from 3rd party applications, add processes to EBMS, and add validation programming to customer or existing data entry fields.

  • Adding EBMS processes such as a shopping cart, customer interaction, and product catalog on a website:
Web based EBMS processes and EBMS information can be displayed online to facilitate browser based access to specific EBMS data. The EBMS software contains tools to customize a website to interact with the EBMS software. The website can be customized to meet specific advertising or product information needs. Review the Ecommerce documentation for more details.
