If you’re one of those businesses that has more inventory items than you can keep track of, you need a well-designed, advanced software to keep all of those parts and products organized, especially if all of those items come from several different vendors. The EBMS Multi-Vendor Catalog module allows for multiple vendor price books to be viewed while the user works within EBMS, without cluttering your main inventory catalog. The vendor catalogs are linked to your main EBMS catalog, so the prices and item details are always up-to-date.
If you are in the auto parts and accessories industry, your countless car and truck parts will be organized in your system. For those who do business with point-of-sale and retail, all your products from all your vendors are accessible from your POS station. EBMS supports the following file formats: Excel (.xls), comma delimited (.csv), text (tab delimited and fixed width – .txt), data interchange (.dif), and Dbase II, III, IV or FoxPro (.dbf), so you can be sure that you can add your vendors’ product list if they use one of these file formats.
Managing items within the catalog is easy. You can create a new inventory item from a vendor’s data by copying the description, pricing, costs, and other information. This is valuable, especially if you need to add inventory items quickly on the fly. You can also list the parts and products of a vendor without inserting the whole product list of the vendor. From any EBMS window where you can enter an inventory item code, you can access items from any vendor database using the quick lookup. So you can access all your vendor item lists from anywhere you usually access inventory items.
